Why have a consistent spiritual practice?

With all that we do in a day, it can be tempting to let our spiritual practice slip by the wayside. I want to encourage you to stay the course, and if you did take a detour, I hope to inspire you to get yourself back on track. If you haven’t ever had a spiritual practice, take this as an opportunity to try it out!

Having a consistent spiritual practice does wonders for your mind, body, and soul.

In essence, it strengthens your connection to your:

Authentic self: Your truest self, the opposite of you egoic self which is what you’ve been conditioned to be. Underneath this is who you truly are - your honest personality, values, strengths, beliefs, and spirit

Highest-self: Your higher consciousness which is your connection to the divine and sees yourself, others, and the world around you through sacred eyes. The highest-self is unconditionally loving, wise and all-knowing, and pure positive energy.

Soul: The immaterial animating force and unique spiritual essence of you that is a unique expression of the energy that creates the whole universe. Your soul is like a wave in the cosmic ocean, unique and part of the whole.

Engaging in spiritual practice helps you transcend the limitations of the ego and embrace the powerful, loving being that resides within. When you inhabit the seat of your soul, your perception becomes sacred, revealing truths unfiltered by fear, projection, or insecurity. It’s a profoundly beautiful way to experience life.

Here are some simple ways to practice connecting with your spiritual nature:

Simple Spiritual Practices

  1. Mindfulness Meditation: Direct your attention to your breath, gently returning focus whenever the mind wanders, with compassion and without judgment.

  2. Visualization Meditation: Envision a radiant white light embodying unconditional love, permeating your entire being and energetic aura.

  3. Nature Connection: Sit quietly in nature, engaging al senses mindfully — sight, sound, touch, smell, and even taste through the air.

These practices serve to awaken consciousness and strengthen your connection to your authentic and highest self.

Your authentic and highest-self aligns with soul consciousness, perceiving reality through the pure lens of love. In truth, there is no lens; just direct perception of reality because love is all there actually is.

Soul consciousness creates the conditions for the best version of yourself to emerge.  When you embody love, it unlocks your divine qualities, facilitating access to unconditional love, compassion, non-judgement, insight, wisdom, play, creativity, joy, and true power.

Connection to your highest-self disengages the autopilot of the egoic mind, with its defenses, limiting beliefs, fears, and insecurities.  In this state, you access your true power, and when you are in your power, nothing can top that feeling!  A glittering, open, kind, fun, loving and abundant world opens up to you… or did you open up to it?
